Our hiring procedure starts after you apply online or send your CV directly to jobs@iponweb.net. This procedure includes

• review of your code sample (send it along with your application form/CV or later by our request),
• Perl, PHP or C test,
• interview.

Almost all positions have junior or senior level. Successful students of third and higher years are OK as juniors as a rule. We have a number of cases when junior becomes senior in a year or two.

Unix / Linux

C++ developer

Knowledge & experience

1. Junior
   • C/C++ with 1–3 years experience
   • English reading and basic writing
   • Linux experience desirable
2. Senior
   • Higher education
   • C/C++ with 3–5 years experience
   • English reading and fluent writing
   • Linux experience is must
   • Win32 experience is appreciated

Perl developer

• Perl OOP with at least 2 years of experience
• English reading and fluent writing
• PHP experience is appreciated
• Linux environment experience preferred

PHP developer

Knowledge & experience

• PHP OOP with at least one year experience
• English reading and writing abilities
• Perl experience is appreciated
• Linux environment experience preferred

System administrator

• At least two years of Linux/Unix-ish sysadmin experience (one year for junior)
• Base knowledge of Perl
• Experience in monitoring (puppet, cfengine, nagios, etc.), cluster administration (EC2, or similar), load balancing, datacenter, distributed database, virtual machine monitor (Xen, etc.) and high-availability systems is highly appreciated

Java Developer (focus on server side scale)

Knowledge & experience

• Java development experience more then 5 years;
• experience of building systems designed to handle 500+ requests per second across multiple servers;
• good knowledge of Spring, Hibernate;
• practice of test driven application development;
• caching (local, distributed)
• performance improvements
• design Patterns
• good knowledge of Algorithms (sort, search, hash).
• unittesting.
• intermediate English.

Highly appreciated

• Linux/FreeBSD environment experience is preferred;
• code review and code refactoring experience;
• knowledge of MapReduce technology;
• experience of development for Hadoop platform;
• Apache Software Foundation experience;
• experience of SVN/CVS, request ticket and bug tracking system;
• work experience with USA/UK or other foreign clients;
• fluent English.

Java Developer (focus on data collection and processing framework)

Knowledge & experience

• Java development experience more then 5 years;
• experience of development for Hadoop platform;
• Strong Java skills;
• multithreading and multiprocessing;
• experience with distributed processing,cloud computing, large data sets 3TB;
• good knowledge of Algorithms (sort, search, hash);
• intermediate English.

Highly appreciated

Java Developer (business reports and automation)

• understanding of data analysis;
• strong Microsoft Excel;

Highly appreciated

• Crystal Reports, Microsoft Access or similar Reporting tools experience;
• experience with data warehousing;

Platform independent

Business analyst

We are dealing with complex software based on sophisticated business logic. There are also production and cluster aspects and limitations. This position supposes knowledge all sides for development, quality assurance, support, and maintenance of system. Skills of quick understanding business problem and clear explanation while working with client is highly appreciated.

Knowledge & experience

• Higher education
• Ability to understand C/C++ code
• Base knowledge and some experience in SQL
• English reading and fluent writing
• Analyst experience is appreciated

Data analyst

We are dealing with enormous volume of data and complex production data flows. We need analyze these data and data flows to improve overall system performance. We expect from applicants ability to generate and prove hypotheses using their researcher skill and common sense.

Knowledge & experience

• Higher math/physics education
• Base knowledge and some experience in SQL
• Base experience in some script language and Linux utilities
• English reading and fluent writing
• Analyst experience and Linux background are highly appreciated

Technical writer

• Good/fluent English reading and writing
• IT domain experience, wide math knowledge
• Strong information mining ability
• Willingness to master new knowledge domains

Lua/Perl Developer

• Lua or scripting language (Perl / Python / Ruby) experience
• Ability to take care of complicated business logic
• Good English
